Tree to Table Celebration: March 6, 2026 at Rumpus Room

Throughout 2025, a group of dedicated Intersections' members, volunteers and instructors followed a 'Tree to Table' Journey. We are pleased to host them and invite Intersections' friends and supporters to celebrate their accomplishments, see the results of their efforts and socialize together!

When: Friday, March 6 2026 from 5-7 PM
Where: Rumpus Room, 237 9th Street East, Owen Sound
Cost: $20 (cash or e-transfer at the door)

There will be appetizers supplied from the kitchens of Naagan by famous local chef Zach
Keeshig and a cash bar.

About the Tree To Table Journey:

Two trestle tables with a modern flair have now been completed with the wood from local ash trees felled in spring of 2025. Along the way many opportunities were had to join together and learn about the process of transforming the dying ash trees into pieces of furniture with great beauty and utility. We learned about the forest ecosystem, the properties of wood, the technique of sawing and drying lumber and tusk and tenon joinery.

One table is the main prize in our current fundraising raffle. (Tickets can be bought by e-transferring $10.00 to raffle@intersectionswoodcollaborative.org or at the shop during open hours Tues-Thurs 10 AM-3 PM). The other table will be donated on the evening to one of our community partners, theCanadian Mental Health Association for their Fresh Roots Café.
