Woodturning: Texture and Embellishment with David Bell | October 14, 2026 - October 16, 2026

David Bell will take students through several processes that he uses to texture and embellish wood turnings. The techniques will cover woodturning, layout, carving, wood-burning (pyrography), and colouring. Students will be provided with materials to turn a small bowl, a plate and if time permits a bud vase. Students are encouraged to bring their own power wood carving tools, and wood-burning units and pens. All painting supplies will be made available.

This is a three day workshop. Each day will begin at 9:00 am and end at around 4:00 pm. The workshop will be held at Intersections Wood Collaborative at 299 10th Street E., Owen Sound.

Suitable for intermediate woodturners

A materials fee will be payable to the instructor of $40.
